The Henry B. Plant Museum is an opulent showcase of early 1900’s gilded age nobility. The museum is located within the University of Tampa, formerly the Tampa Bay Hotel built by Henry B. Plant in 1891, and holds some of Plant’s most expensive purchases from around the world to decorate his grand hotel.

PartPixel was hired to design a custom website build on html, css, js, and php with no CMS for maximum security against hacks and glitches. The design phase included 43 custom pages, a database of exhibit items, and an ever-changing calendar.

Many of today’s websites are built on frameworks such as WordPress or Joomla so that those not savvy with coding languages can change content after the web designer has built the custom design. A recurring problem with these content management systems (CMS) is that they often come with pre-built programs that include malware or other glitches. It is for this reason that the University of Tampa asked for a complete design using static code built on a custom bootstrap framework. If your website is experiencing hacks, glitches, or search issues contact PartPixel today!
